The application process

There are several things you’ll need before you apply for a rental:

  1. References

    Firstly, you’ll need to pass on any reference you’ve acquired from previous rentals or employers. This will help us confirm your rental and employment history.

  2. Identification

    We will need two forms of personal identification from you to confirm who you are. The first is photo identification in the form of a valid driver’s license or passport. The second can be a Medicare card, birth certificate, or a statement from a utility service (such as a water bill or council rates).

  3. Proof of income

    Next, we’ll need to see proof of income to ensure you can meet the financial obligations for the rental. This includes payslips and bank statements.

How to apply

In addition to the above items, here are some key tips we've compiled to help you get your ducks in a row in preparation for a rental application:

  • Ensure that all your documents (as laid out above) are compiled and ready to submit via the ‘Apply’ button on realestate.com.au
  • Consider a cover letter that gives us a brief personal summary about you and your rental history, including any pets you may have.
  • Put a face to the name. Introduce yourself to The Property Culture team when you arrive for the open for inspection.

Once you’re ready, you can click the ‘Apply’ button on the realestate.com.au listing of your desired rental property. You’ll be taken through to Ignite, a secure platform that will allow you to seamlessly apply for your desired rental.
