Tom’s journey to the Huon Valley began in 2019 with a six-week plan to work a cherry harvest before setting off on global travels. Coming from sunny Queensland, he had never heard of the Huon, knew no one in Tasmania, and had no intention of staying. But life had other plans. During that season, he met his wife, Bethany, and six weeks quickly turned into six months.

Though he eventually left to travel, the Huon had left its mark. After a stint back in Queensland working in his family’s commercial furniture business overseeing logistics while Beth managed the sewing department, Tom realised how much he thrived on helping people find solutions. When the chance arose to return to the Valley permanently, he and Beth didn’t hesitate.

And in a similar story to Colby and Karl, along with the move south came an unexpected opportunity in real estate. Tom quickly found that guiding people through major life transitions brought the same sense of fulfilment he had come to love. Now, he’s passionate about making the buying and selling process as seamless as possible, whether it’s finding the perfect block of land, selling an investment property, or helping a family move on to their next chapter.

Tom has found his home and purpose in the Huon Valley, and he’s dedicated to helping others do the same.
